I hope everyone has had a fantastic Christmas and enjoying some time off. Hopefully all our Victorian people are safe and sound with the dreadful fires.
This week lets send off 2015 with the photos you are most proud of (that you took this year). We will limit it to 3 photos per person.
So lets see your top 3!
Have a wonderful New Years everyone!
There were quite a few "firsts" for me in 2015 so it's quite difficult to choose only three.
In no particular order my top 3...
Tawny Grassbird.
Collared Kingfisher.
Female Satin Bowerbird.
Samford Valley Qld.
Nice photos Reflex. The green grub contrasts beautifully with the Tawny Grassbird! Very clear.
This was a hard challenge! Below are 3 of the better photos (but it was hard not to choose a "rarer bird" rather than a nicer photo!)
White-Cheeked Honeyeater
New Holland Honeyeater
Brown Falcon
Dave, Sydney.
Great photos guys. I love the bowerbird, the detail is amazing and a great background to boot. Dave that NHH on the waratah is a great shot. I am a newcomer to birding photgraphy so I dont have thousands to choose from but here is my 3 personal favourites from the last month or so..
1.White-bellied Sea-Eagle
2. Red-capped Plover
3. Superb Fairy-wren

Last one was another first and again had the pleasure of getting close to the Painted button-Quail and watching it going about it's buisiness.
