I do have trouble identifying some of these raptors. These two photos were also taken around Normanton, Queensland. Could you please confirm my ID thanks. Why Black!?

Falcon maybe brown, just guessing, Looking at the vertical markings below the eyes, and the bars on the tail, would think a Black Falcon would be much darker, also the light colour on the lower cheek (if that is what it is called) I am learning, but the only way I can prove or disprove my theories are to have a crack! Nice photos anyway. Sure one of the experts will be past this way later.

I also suggest a Brown Falcon, the tear-drops and tail feather bars are clear; and stripe-breasted colour; check other recent posts for Brown Falcon
