Brightly coloured bird

Does anyone know what bird this is? At first I thought it was just a very bright King Parrot but when I took more notice I realised it wasn't then I thought maybe Eclectus, but really I have no clue.

Thanks Mishkaka. I believe HelloBirdy is right. And Tenterfield is well within its range.

I don't know if the feed table the bird is on is in your garden but you might be interested to know that Parrots are very susceptible to catching the dreadful beak & feather disease which they catch from infected birds at food tables. To prevent birds being affected by this disease food for Parrots is best provided by planting their natural food sources, that is, plants which once grew naturally within each species' range. Red-winged Parrots feed on "blossoms, nectar, fruits, nuts & seeds, as well as insects & their larvae. They are particularly fond of the seeds of eucalyptus and acacias and the berries of mistletoe Loranthus." (Reader's Digest Complete Book of Australian Birds).
