Hello, I have regularly observed Crows coming to my bird watering bucket. They bring food with them, dunk the food in the water until it is soft, then eat it.
I thought this was very unique and quite smart. Has anyone else witnessed things like this?

I saw a Little Raven pick up a small sealed takeaway container, fly up, drop it, the impact causing the lid to break. Then the bird flew down and helped itself to the contents.
Hi, that would have been interesting see a Raven do that. I am not sure about the crows though, it is just not one crow but seems to be a family. Where they get the food from I do not know. I live by the beachside and I notice now that magpies and crows are competing with seagulls for ravaging food from those who choose to feed them. I also see black swans (a lot of them) in Summer swimming and feeding in the shallows of the bay. Another strange sight. Thanks for your comment.
Sounds like another human-induced ecological disaster to me, lindyloo.
Yes, what haven't we (users and renters of this planet) done to harm the environment which houses the animals and humans. I guess, perhaps, one day we might wake up to ourselves. perhaps.....
