Earth Flight on TV tonight

Anyone else tuning in? Its on 7:30 on Channel 9 and the previews look amazing!

Yep we tuned in and it was great. We were gobsmacked at the footage, still am wondering how the hell they got it. Especially the bald eagle shots, absolutely magnificent. It was one of the best docos that we have seen. Cant wait for next weeks eposide.

Wasn't it gorgeous! I have no idea how they filmed it.

I'll admit I didn't expect an Australian accent commentating (Charles Wooley I think) - he wasn't bad but he is no Attenborough.

I thought lots of the footage was spectacular & I loved it. However, some of the shots from over birds' shoulders looked a bit sus to me. And flights through Monument Valley were obviously by helicopter seat not bird back. Perhaps I'm too old & skeptical but I have a rather jaundiced view of the media & I don't put anything past them.

The commentary was rather thin on the ground with lots of obvious statements but if the show attracts more interest in birds & their environments then that's all to the good.

I didn't see it so I had a look at the producers website and it is mentioned there how the filming was done. I don't intend missing the rest of these as some of the footage in the trailers is spectacular.

Hers is the site for those interested:   http://jdp.co.uk/programmes/earthflight
