I found another bush trail, in NW Sydney,Callicoma Walk and i saw a pair of Eastern Whipbirds. I didn't get photos, the light was too bad and they were too quick, but it was great to see them. (Also saw Crimson Rosellas, King Parrots, and a lot of smaller birds). I have heard them so often but never seen them. It is another beautiful part of remnant bush, bluegums and other, forest.
I have not heard of that trail - sounds like a good one - i think I have been in same general area but heading west from thornleigh along a trail that was signposted going towards cherrybrook.
Took me quite a while to sight my first whipbirds as well - easy to hear but very hard to get a clear sight of.
I missed a few of the signs for the track, and couldn't find it at all at first. don't know if it is me or if the signs are not very clear! I have been on part of a walk to Thornleigh, still amazes that its all so close to suburbia but can feel like another world.
