Figbirds feeding

Took these shots early in 2016 on the Sunshine Coast of figbirds having lunch. Used point and press Canon.

I often see them eating these berries.

I believe your first photo is a Blue-Faced Honeyeater.

Looks like its in its transition from greeny yellow to blue.

Any idea of the plant species they're feeding from?

Don't know a lot about palms Woko, but its a common species of palm in Queensland.  They are actually a nuisance and those berries have a hard core and each berry bush drops thousands of berries. I think they also attract fruit bats. The palm itself is tall with typical fronds at the top and these berry bushes grow at different heights. Cheers.

The Blue-Faced Honeyeaters, Lorikeets and Koels love them as well!
