Hello bird lovers,
We have what I think is an unusual thing happening. There is a large gum tree in my street with the makings of a nesting site. For the last few months both a pair of galahs and rainbow lorikeets have been actively hollowing it out seemingly unknowing of the each other. Will one prevail on claiming the site?
Eventually yes, had the same thing happen to a tree is the paddock once, but with galahs and rosellas. The galahs, being bigger, eventually claiming the nest.
