Apostle bird

This is for the Queenslanders, had an email this week from close friends in Charters Towers FNQ remarking on the increase of Apostle birds on their farm.

They sent me a picture, never seen them in NSW, a bit larger than a Magpie Lark (Pee Wee). John said he rarely seen them in the past but flocks of a up 20 are common now and again.

Cannot find how to attach the picture on this thread, so sorry, nice picture though.

Hi Raven
In another thread you said you like Lane Cove NP for birds. So that means you are in Sydney right? To see Apostlebirds, head to Pine Grove Cemetery (Eastern Creek) or Nurragingy Reserve (Doonside). :-)

Hey Windhover, where in Nurragingy do you see them? Is there a specific place or time of year/day you have to go to see them, because I've been there probably about 5 or 6 times and haven't caught a glimpse of them.
