Good stuff Tassie, thanks for letting us know. I received an update from Ian Montgomery from Birdway , and I think he is in Townsville. Sounds like it is OK where he is at least.

Thanks all, we are OK, just got power back, 4.15 Monday, 5 days without!!. Our house is fine but the garden took a pounding as have all the parks and gardens around town, many tree down and the place will look bare once the clean-up is complete.I think many of the fruit eaters (birds) will be doing it tough for the next little while. Townsville appears to have escaped without too much building/structural damage, I suspect thanks to the building codes introduced after Althea and Tracy. It certainly was a storm that will be remembered for a long time. Thanks again for your best wishes.

HI Ed.... good to know that you are all OK. I guess you will be finding a few birds and creatures that may need a little help for a while up in that area.
I hope this doesn't mean we wont be seeing any beautiful garden shots from you for a while :')
