Hello, i keep getting notifications of all posts, how do i stop that? Also, completing my profile doesn`t do much. I tried to put in an Avatar but it doesn`t work. Could you help please? Jameson

I posted this in the other thread but I'll repost here, it's in regards to the notifications. On your profile you can manually unsubscribe from each one which does take time, don't know why it subscribes to them in the first place. I suggest you make a folder in your inbox which directs all messages from BiBY to it so it doesn't clog up your inbox or create an alternate account you do not use and change your email in your profile so the emails go to the other account you don't regulate.

The avatar sometimes bugs me a little as I cannot get it to work sometimes, but make sure that when you are changing your avatar you do not have anything in the "new password" area of the profile (worked for me when I had that issue). Other then that just tick the "use gravatar" box, upload and save and it should work. If that doesn't work then I have no idea how to fix it sorry!
Usually forums give the option to receive notifications or not. Your forum doesn`t do that. Updating the profile does nothing but change a password. How do i contact the Administrator of the forum? Your forum is complicated compared to others. I don`t want all of those notifications I prefer that i be unregistered.
Avatar picture is probably too big - go to shrink pictures com and resize your picture to avatar size then upload it again

Yes, this forum doesn't have all the options of many of the newer forum systems. I believe it is in the process of being updated.
In terms of notifications, the option is there whenever you reply to the post to say Yes or No to subscribing to the thread. Otherwise, as Amateur suggests, it is a matter of unsubscribing to each thread in your profile.

I got your email and have contacted the web guy to get him to unsubscribe you. I realise the system is old and outdated, we are in the process of having a new one installed that should stop these issues we have had.
