I konw these birds can be destructive, but my wife and I are having the pleasure of observing them feeding outside the window in our house in the bush. There is a specific behaviour pattern which puzzles me - one or both Cockies face each other and "swivel" or gyrate their heads in some manouvre; occasionally one will lift one of its feet and point it or rest it against the Cockie it's facing. This does not look like courtship, but rather some warning. Does anyone know about this behaviour pattern?
