Just wondering if this is normal colouring for a King Parrot or does it have a deficiency.

Hi Misty,one bird I have watched for years in large numbers, is the King Parrot. I have never seen one that colour. But others might? That is very interesting, can't wait to find out, what other people think?

It was suggested to me a while back that it could be a lack of melanin??? Don't know, couldn't find anything on the net about it.
Misty have a read of this link and maybe contact someone from that site? They obviously have a yellow mutation there

Hi guys its a beautiful bird. Where abouts are you located ? I have seen one very similar or maybe the same bird near my house just south of Sydney.
