Gidday George, I have a pair of "Tasco" 10x50 and they are brilliant.
Mate cannot remember what I paid, what I can tell you is that this morning when I was shopping I saw some Binoculars in Tandy's that were fairly well priced.
Worth checking out mate.
P.S I don't recall the tascos being all that much.

Mine are "Hanimex" 10x50's and are about 20 years old but very good and are clear.
PS; Not sure if you now that the first number is the "Magnification" and the second number is the "Objective diameter in millimeters" hope this helps.
