I spotted this nest in the horse stables at Werribee today.
If it wasn't sad ,it could be funny.I do think the nest belonged to some Welcome swallows, but it looks not neat enough, does it? (The blue strings are haybale strings.)
Who does it belong to??

It's interesting to see the materials that birds use in their nests, isn't it? I've seen nests with bits of insulated wire in them. Also, I've seen photos of bird of prey nests with rubbish in them.

Looks rather like a house sparrow's nest to me.
Most likely Woko, it must have been a boy's nest, next to it was a girl's nest with pink strings !LOL
