This fella flew in the other day and landed in a tree above our dam. He only stayed for 10 minutes or so. I couldn't get any real clear shots of him. I think he is a Great Egret? I have never seen one here before but then again we have only been here since May "12".
Very difficult to tell, sorry. An egret for sure. Could be one of three; cattle, great or intermediate. Darn!

I can kind of see really black or dark legs. Now that you mentioned really big, yes, could well be an Eastern Great Egret. Seeing the gape would be a better ID point, but I cannot in these pics. :-(
Sorry I do not have any better pics. I had a closer look at the photos but still not much help, thanks anyway Akos ;0)
I believe that there is sufficient length of neck visible to suggest a Great Egret
