Iv had a few cases of a Herron walking around at night.
It will walking around and I think it's feeding? It's not a night Herron as it is rather tall with a long neck. I can only see it silhouette, can't see any colour, but it's most definitely not white
there is a creek nearby so it's not unusual to see them at day, but is this normal behaviour for a Herron?

I have seen them hunting frogs at night.
Yer maybe. There is one that gets around at day. But why would there be frogs in the paddock? Unless it's digging up the burrowing frogs.
