How to make a bird a freind?

         Hello Guys,

As I'm bird lover and have make a big cage for them and I have kept 20 birds in this cage, I feed them but with a spoon as when I want to came near with them all birds starts screeching and run far away from me with fear but I want to make them my friend and want to talk to them. Anyone suggestion will be highly appreciated.

If these are wildbirds then it is illegal to keep them and if they are domestic then I think you have far too many birds in too small a space. Aviary birds, unless handraised are naturally flighty, you need to remain calm, relaxed and take things slowly.

"If these are wildbirds then it is illegal to keep them" does that mean any Aus. native birds or only the ones who have been caught by hand/non commerical handlers?

Its my understanding that is it illegal to trap any native bird in the wild (there will be exceptions for certain circumstances). I have been trying to navigate the Australian gov website for info but not having much luck. Found this

NSW National Parks says: Note that these native birds are still protected and you are not allowed to trap them in the wild. It is illegal to trap protected birds, including exempt species, anywhere in NSW. The maximum penalty for trapping a protected or threatened bird is a fine of $220,000 and/or a two-year prison sentence.

hmm,its just that my neighbor has a King Parrot in a cage out his backyard,and it aggrevates me to see it trapped in a cage...
