Hungry birds!

Hungry herons? Dining darters? Feeding finches? Eating egrets?

Show us your hungry birds :)

1. Australasian Darter snapping up a decent sized breakfast.

2. Sacred Kingfisher with a lizard lunch.

3. White-throated Treecreeper muching on a moth.

A good theme, Tom. A few old ones showing hungry birds... apologies for the dead chick in one picture but that is the reality of life.

Collared Sparrowhawk at Fitzroy Crossing came down to share breakfast as I had mine... cereal for me.

You've seen most of mine but here are some old and new ones

Wow, Dev, that Wedge-tailed Eagle is a fantastic shot as is the Wompoo Fruit-dove.

Thanks Sue. I know the roadkill shot is not for everyone but that's nature taking advantage of the consequences of big trucks. Those Wompoos were sitting in the trees gorging themselves, sleeping, then waking up and gorging themselves again when those trees were in fruit
