Would love your help please re ID for this bird call. Heard regularly in Highett and Hampton, Melbourne bayside. Particularly morning, evening, from higher trees. Winter and summer. Usually repeats 2-3 times. Unseen. Thank-you!

Being from SA I'm unfamiliar with a lot of birds in Melbourne's bayside. However, that sounds very much like a human Homo sapiens whistle to me, anita. If you can track down tree canopy calls of local birds which are human-like you might be able to identify your mystery bird. I'm a little surprised that a Birdsinbackyarder from your way hasn't responded yet so contacting the bird expert in the Victorian Environment Department (or whatever it's called this week) or your local council office might produce a result.
