Friend or Foe ?

I have not taken much notice of this cute / annoying bird in my yard before.
But since he has been eating my Paw Paws I’m not so sure.
We do enjoy eating them ( the Paw Paws ) that is.
They are New Guinea Reds.
Is there anything else I can provide for them to keep my fruit safe ?

Thanks Denis for the ID.
Yes you are right, ALL Birds are Friends.

I don't think the Lewin did it all ......I suspect he is taking advantage of the work of a larger individual, maybe a fruit bat, possum or even a rat. They all love Paw Paws.

You are most likely right Ed.
I have two large Watch Dogs.
So it is most likely a fruit bat.
The dogs don't allow things to scurry about in the garden.

He is even making friends with my resident PeeWee.

Hi Kell. I reckon your Pee-Wee is actually a Willie Wagtail. The white eyebrow and spots on the throat give it away.

I know you are right Mike.
By the time I pressed send, It was to late to change it.
Other Forums I am on give one a chance to edit ones own work but not here.
Thanks for pointing it out.
Cheers kell

Just a note on the above comment.

We are working on getting an edit feature put in. Hopefully it will be happening very soon.
