Any help identifying these birds would be greatly appreciated, i have a fair idea, but just want to be 100% sure. Thanks.

The top one looks to be a Brown Falcon based on the dark facial streak and white patch behind it. And the second bird looks like an Eastern Great Egret.
I agree with the Brown Falcon Mark, but I think the egret is a Little Egret. Appears to have a black bill and feet and is small in comparison to the cormorants it's next to. :)
I see what you mean. I missed the size comparison with the Little Black Cormorants. I was looking at those plumes extending back behind the bird, and the shape and length of the neck, but the bird would be a lot bigger if it was an EGE. A newbie mistake there by me. That'll teach me to try and ID birds at midnight!
At least one out of 2 is better than getting them both wrong. ;^)
