Hi. I found this bird in my backyard (Melbourne northern suburb) this morning. Can't find it in BIB. Hope someone can help.

It looks like a colour variant of the "Peach Faced Parrot" (or "Love Bird"). It is a cage-bird escapee. The domesticated birds frequently breed up with colour variations, such as Blue Budgerigahs, etc. Hope that helps. Denis

The colourful ones are rainbow lorikeets.
The second one actually looks like a budgie though the head is slightly different. Could be a lovebird like Denis said.

Yep definitely a peach face - we had them as pets in the house and in an aviary when I was growing up.
