Hi, i am an experienced photographer, and have enjoyed photographing birds for several years, but have never really taken the time to learn which bird is which.
While doing a google search to find the ID of a bird i photographed today, i stumbled across this website.
I was wondering if anybody could please help me identify this bird. As i said, i dont know a lot about birds except that i enjoy photographing them, so if its a dumb question i appologise.
Hopefully i can get a bit of knowledge out of this site to help me in the field.

Also, i forgot to add that the photo was taken in N.E.Victoria, near Wangaratta.

Wow that is a beautiful shot Birdgirl. Welcome to the site , hopefully we will see a few more pics from you. You will find there are heaps of people on here to help with info and ID's. Al is great with ID's of raptors for one. Just a hint if you want to post any pics here, keep the size to 500 pixel wide and we can see the whole image.Oh and sorry, but you can't delete or edit any posts.
I got a bit confused at first as we have another Birdgirl on here but she is Birdgirl2009 which I had not remembered .
