Species ID please

Several times a year I can have up to 16 of these characters around my garden, then they fly off somewhere in a couple of weeks. The bird in the shot is a bit different it's stuck around. It swoops to catch food like a BOP; but takes it by beak not talons. If I'm in the garden and haven't taken any notice of it, it will swoop and clip me on the head to get my attention....similar to my wife. - Shaka
