Trying to ID this bird

I'll get it right this time.....Trying to ID this bird

Saw it at cape river south of charters towers qld

could it be a grey falcon??

Bit of a hard one here. I haven't seen one of these before, but if I was to hazard a guess based I would say Black Kite.

Hi Gelmir i think you're right looking in the book it says the black kite younguns are paler than the adults and the distribution map is closer than for the grey falcon he was a bit borderline to where i saw him or her and are classified one of aust rarest raptors.....thanx cheers

I'd go with a Black Kite, dark mark behind eye, pale streaks on breast, forked tail all point at BK.
