Does anyone in the community know what type of waterbird this is? It was photographed at Braeside Park in Victoria.

this waterbird is an immature dusky moorhen
they are common around rivers and lakes in melbourne

Thanks Owen1, I figured it was an immature something or other but as it was a solitary bird I had nothing to compare it with.
