I live in the Southern Tablelands NSW. This morning while gardning a young bird flew onto my wheelbarrow.
It is light beige with darker beige wings the neck feathers are just starting to come out looks like they are going to be black with white spots. Is this a diamond neck dove?
It cannot fly properly and I have it in a cage feeding it budgie seed.
Could anyone help me identify this bird and the best way to care for it till it can fly.
Photos would be good for better identifying this bird.
Thanks

Thanks Dennis
While looking at photos of the daves you suggested they dont really match. Not a pigeon. Any other bird species that resemble a Dove? It does have a little hook at the end of the beak. It is feeding and dronking well. Im out at Big Hill.
