koel or Bowerbird?

Can somebody tell me whether the black bird in these photos is a satinbowerbird or maybe a Koel?

I am not sure how to do this but from what I've read I think this is what I have to do to give you a link to my shots.

Hi Birdie,

I'm thinking that it is a male koel. This is because it has a red eye and a long tail. Satin bowerbirds have a purple-ish eye, and not such a long tail. Also, the kind of tree that the bird is in appears to be one of the koel-attracting types.

The koels are lovely birds. There are a few around my suburb.

Thanks for that Andy but how did you get the link there like that and how do you copy the image direct?
I just can't seem to understand the script stuff

Hi Birdie,

Soakes will have to tell you about that (Soakes fixed the links). I've never posted photos.

Sorry Andy, I didn't read the different name.
Thanks for your reply anyway. I have been learning so much about identification just from reading the forums and checking this website. Sometimes it's nice to be able to put a photo on . Mostly I used to hear the birds and not see them but for the last month I have been walking between 5 and 7am and that's a great time in my area.

I'll just try this again and see if it works
