I'm a newbie from the Gosford area, and I am just starting to get into this bird thing. With the help of the 1993 edition of the Simpson & Day Field Guide, I have begun to discover just how many different birds I have just in my backyard.

The central coast has quite a few good spots for birds. You might want to head to Shelley beach and check out some waders. I haven't been there yet, but I hear it's quite good.
