They have no hope, it'll be too late before the government realises the error in their ways. That's the problem when you have a man who's interest is purely in money making. Unfortunately he (his government) has already done too much damage in so many areas.

i think our earth is doomed, it's just a matter of time!

It's not looking terribly flash, I'll grant you that, Dale. Do you feel inclined to fight on, no matter how bad the situation is? It seems such a pity to give up on the only planet that has life on it - as far as we know.

For myself, I'm planning to plant South Australian mallee species if we ever get a good rain. We're 15 km or so from the Murray Mallee & my prediction is that, with the increasing frequency & severity of drought, mallee species will eventually spread into our area & then into the Adelaide Hills, assuming humans give them half a chance. This might take hundreds if not thousands of years but at least I'll be lending a hand to get the process started. And this assumes this part of Earth, at least, has future conditions which can sustain such a process.

Frankly, I'm a pig-headed bastard & refuse to give in to governments & others who seem to be flat out wrecking Earth.

Woko, not planning on giving up. We're doing our little bit as well, though we dont have as much land these days, like you, encouraging others to plant for the environment. Hope we all get the rains we need, so that progress can be made with revegetation, back to its natural state.

If we all do little things, we can make an impact.
