I could not get close enough for a good pic but it was good to get a pic of a juvi.

I heard it was due to Peters hard work of kindly distracting an adult Pilot bird, that you got some top shots of it on a log Shorty
. Very pretty little bird. Are they becoming more of a regular sighting for you lately Shorty because there are more do you think, or just that you know where to look now?

Sorry for the late reply Annie, have been really busy and didn't notice your post.
I think i am just seeing them more as i know the spot where to look now.
The juvi was just luck but i would think if i go back to where i saw it i would see them again given time. I will be busy the next couple of weekends but will go back to the Brindy's and test my theory.

I had not been to Tidbinbilla since Peter was down so had a quick visit on Sunday.
I was only there for 20 minutes before it started to rain but for the entire time i had a Pilotbird walking up and down the path keeping me company.
This is the 5th visit in a row here with success of Pilot bird sighting.
