Hi everyone,
I was hoping someone might help me to ID a bird that has a melodic call every morning.
We live on a rainforest block 3km from the coast in north Queensland between Cairns and Mission Beach. This bird is really active at dawn, then occasionally throughout the day, seldom at dusk and never at night.
I've attached youtube links to some audio recordings, there is some background noise sorry - fruit doves, other birds and a baby, but hopefully you can recognise the distinct repeated melodic phrases, maybe a bit flute like?
Thanks for any advice!
Andre

Hi everyone,
I think I may have sighted the bird responsible for the call, possibly a black butcherbird?... look forward to any advice whether that would be likely.
Many thanks!
Andre
