I have just photographed this bird in a flowering gum in my garden. I think it is
a Musk Loorikeet but this is the first time I have seen one in this area.

Lovely bird. Well caught. It looks like its eyes are wide open in glee, looking at all the beautiful flowers it has on offer.

That's a great photo Ro, I have just come home from Flinders (Mornington Peninsular), I took lots of photos of Musk Lorikeets in trees in the Main Street there. I havsn't looked at mine yet, but I'm certain none of them will be as good as yours. Well done.
