New Holland Honeyeater Breeding

Two days ago I saw a young New Holland Honeyeater. This was rather a surprise since usual breeding occurs here from about mid winter to late spring. However, Morcombe says that this species breeds any time of year if conditions are right. Well, conditions here on the s.e. slopes of the Mt Lofty Ranges in SA are excellent with lots & lots of Eucalyptus leucoxylon flowers attracting lots & lots of New Holland Honeyeaters. So, that probably explains the youngster near our bird bath the other day.
