Not the prettiest bird (IMHO) but a regular visitor to my backyard. Arrived home early one afternoon recently and captured a few shots in the last of the afternoon light.

Nice shots, I agree that its not the most good looking bird but they are an interesting looking species.
As has been said before, a face only a mother could love. But beautiful photos. (has a prehistoric look about it).

Nice light, I like the second last one the best. Another regular bird we get out our way, can be a bit of a bully as though. They are often chasing the crows away.
Such an awesome looking bird. Not hard to imagine it 100 times bigger and a bit more dinosaury! Beautiful light in these pics.
