Pee Wee on the nest

Thanks to tip from another BIByards contributor Timmo, went to a suburban park in Beenleigh and had a wander around yesterday. Took this shot of a Pee Wee sitting on its beautifully constructed nest.

Thats a fantastic photo, it is looking so alert.  And their nests looks as if they would withstand some kind of apocolyptic event.

Poor parents have Noisy Miners and Figbirds giving them a hard time!

Great shot of bird on the nest - its one thing to find a nest, but much rarer to find one where you can get a good clear shot like this.

Returned to take another look and took this shot from a different angle.

Great photos. You can see why they call them mud larks can't you.

Cool. Looks like both mum and dad are having a turn at incubation.

Thanks all. I grew up in South Australia and over there they call them Murray Magpies. You are right tho Devo they obviously love mud if this nest is anything to go by !
