Private Messaging

I have just installed a private message option on the website (trying to link it to the forum) - you can see 'messages' in the top right hand corner of the website. If a few people can go into that and try messaging me (or other forum friends) and let me know what you think that would be great. You type in the member's name you are searching for and it will bring up a list of possible people.

Not sure if I will keep this function, just giving it a test and seeing how you all like it.

If we could click on the user's name in the forum that might be useful too Holly. Is that possible?

Something I have been looking into kathiemt :) I am trying to find a module that will make that possible. Hope to get some time later this week to spend on it.

Cheers

It's challenging, isn't it? I manage a forum for a mountain biking club and there's always some thing extra to do. Also, the subject heading for replies to posts - is that necessary?  Are you able to switch it off? It just seems to repeat the first line of text if nothing is put in it, but it's not really needed for replies, just new posts.

Its already been deleted (I can't see it on my screen). That feature was one that really annoyed the heck out of me, I was so glad when I found the off switch! :)
