Hello everyone, I tried using the bird finder but couldn't seem to find this bird on it.
My father-in-law told me it was a Chicken Hawk but I can't find any that look like this.
I live in South Australia if that's any help.

Hi CaptainBoj. That's a Nankeen Kestrel (previously known as an Australian Kestrel & prior to that, would you believe, a Nankeen Kestrel). It's possibly a male because of what I think looks like a grey head.
It's great that you included the name of the state in which you observed the bird. That really helps with identification. Better still, if you can be as precise as possible with the location that will enable more accurate identification.
Ah, thank you so much!
I found this guy in Whyalla. I think I've seen around 3 since I've been living here in the past few years?
I also saw one when I was visiting Port Augusta a long time ago
That sounds about right, CaptainBoj. In fact, the Nankeen Kestrel is one of those species found in most parts of Australia.
