Long shot: planning a road trip up the coast of queensland to Cairns.
Just wondering if there might be a birders guide around somewhere
or just check out the national parks along the way?
Have one definite stop to see the Cassowaries at Etty bay near Innisfail.
Found an online guide for the cairns area:

The Cassowaries at Etty Bay are well worth the look, you can get very close. My Brother used to live at Etty. Just don't park in the shade under the coconut palms! Apparently southern tourists are easy to spot haha. Can't offer much other advice.

Thanks for the tip Dale.
Looks like you should be talking to Devster, if you saw his Cairns trip in best photos, maybe PM him.
