Rosellas

Pretty sure the names are correct...Green Rosella and a Crimson Rosella. We just spent the week up at the Clare (SA) caravan park. Not sure what type of gum trees they have there but they were very tall and these shots really tested the capabilities of my 150-500mm.

Australian Ringneck & Adelaide Rosella, SX2002. There are various subspecies of the Australian Ringneck & the Adelaide Rosella is regarded by some as a subspecies of the Crimson Rosella.

Thanks Woko, couldn't find any pics that matched my shots, the names I sugested were the most likely I could find...

Great shots Ron which I guess were taken at the 500mm limit.

Yes they were, some of the highest Gums I've seen...these shots were cropped as well...

Green Rosella are endemic to Tasmania, so the others ID will be correct I would have thought.
