Saw this bird flying over water near Barcelona but am unable to identify it - would appreciate any help please

I have seen them in the South of France, down there they calle them " Goeland", but have no idea if they are called that , or if they have a diifernt name?You might want to google Goeland. Sorry, can't help more.

Many many thanks for your help on this one - I did google Geoland and the bird I had was in fact a Herring Gull - am so grateful had been looking for months on this bird.
