screen saver?

I just looked at my own screen saver, I wonder what kind of screen background you might have? is it your favourite bird, your best photo, or something else? As a lover of all birds, I change it from time to time, but it will always be about birds. How about you? If you like, show them to all of us! M-L
Here is mine:

...over to you now!

I change mine around but it is usually my shot of the
Orange-bellied Parrots as it is a memory I hold close to my heart and somthing that will never leave me.

Cheers, Owen.

Ah, Owen, that screen saver brings a tear to my eye. In fact, to both eyes. To think the orange-bellied parrot is close to extinction is truly an indictment of somebody or bodies. I feel so priveleged that I've seen them in the wild on 3 occasions. Sigh!!
By the way, my screen saver is of a spotted pardalote at present. When I get time & courage I'll learn how to post photos.

Araminta, as we speak I'm eyeballing the directions. Next step: Just do it! Trouble is I get diverted by bird calls & other things naturale outside.

At the moment I have the front garden with the annuals - it changes with the seasons, usually it's a bird photo.

I love everyone's screen savers, Owen, the Orange- bellied parrots, are they male and female? mrt71, nice wren!!! And Meave, I don't have a front garden, but it is most likely envied by all your neighbours!! (call me ignorant, annuals, does that mean you have to plant new ones every year? To most of you that might sound like a stupid question, but I don't have flowers, only natives) M-L

Hi Araminta, yes annuals are ones you have to plant every year in their season. My hubby has a passion for petunias and pansies (the petunias won out this year) so every year in spring we have a colourful display. The back garden (we only have 1/4 acre) is vegetable garden and natives, mostly grevillias and paperbarks with some eucalypts, we have the trees and shrubs all around the edges except for a lot of pineapples on one side which we hope helps stop people from hopping over the fence to break in to the house, which has happened a couple of times. We also love to eat the pineapples, nice, sweet and juicy. Yum. When we are away the neighbours use the vegies and pineapples until we come back. When the flowers are over we go back to birds or sometimes family on the screen saver. The hippeastrums come up every year in masses, we'll have to thin them out soon. I like your screen saver, what a lovely close-up!

Love them all and especially mrt71. The wren seems to be the only thing alive with the nice dull background.

Cheers, Owen.
