Saw a brush turkey in Oatley Park yesterday evening. Got some photos and videos on the phone. A friend saw it there earlier the same day and local fauna group has sighted and photographed it too. A web search shows a bunch of news articles in 2009 saying they're heading south and at Sydney's northern suburbs. A forum search shows people sighting them in Lane Cove NP in late 2009. This one's a (modern) first for Oatley Park though.

Excellent. I was up there again today looking for it to take a decent photo. Ended up putting out a fire instead :/
