Not the best photos, but I caught these cheeky cockatoos walking up and down our side fence. They they started to pull up the passionfruit vines with their beaks, and then proceeded to climb down the vine, and somehow hang on with their claws and wings and cut a passionfruit off the vine with their beak. Once they had cut a passionfruit off, they they proceeded to fly off with it hanging from their beaks. Great to watch.
Makes it tough on the backyard grower, doesn't it?
Cheers

In Bangor (southern Sydney) we have numerous white cockatoos & the passionfruit growing on vines without netting don't stand a chance. The cockies will feast for several hours....
we grow grapes for a living and they go along and bite the bunches off and drop them on the ground we have to net everything and they still drop what they can reach through the nets
