I was quite excited today to sight 3 Magpie Geese flying overhead. The honk drew my attention and there is no mistaking that pattern on the body and wings. A first sighting for me and I've been here over 30 years. I did hear that they used to congregate down in the South West of Victoria , had been missing for years and only returned last year(or was it the previous year?) Anyway, pleased I was outside to see them, but I was feeding ponies - no camera - so no photo to mark the occassion.
