Many new visitors to our garden

I am so excited, the heavy tropical weather has added a few new locals to the trees surrounding our garden. Two catbirds and heaps more lorikeets and King Parrots, plus some calls I cannot identify . tried so hard to photograph the catbirds but it was sunset and they hid deep in a big ficus when they knew I was around!. I'll keep trying....

Try making yourself a hide of sorts. Just grab a couple of dark sheets, or material, and prop it up somewhere near where you regularly see the birds, and then hide inside and wait for them to appear. They should come closer to you if you are hiding.

Thanks for the advice Gelmir. Around here all the trees are so tall and the foliage very dense like this one

The terrain is very steep and the undergrowth a bit "snakey" so I may not be able to do the hide thing in this instance, especially as it is my neighbours garden. We are surrounded by very tall trees which is why we get so many bird visitors within meters of our yard.
