Red capped robin

In my neighbour's vineyard, she captured on film some fabulous shots of both the male and female red capped robin flitting through the vines, on Monday. Not saying that they don't belong to our area, it's just that they are uncommon, and I've never seen one myself.

Hi Debbie,

where are abouts are you, what habitat? Australian robins tend to move to lower altitudes in Autumn/Winter.

Hi Max

I'm in Nth Qld, just out from Townsville. We can have cold winters here, especially on the river where we may get 6 or 7 days straight of frost. But, of course, nothing that compares with the south.

Hi Debbie,

your area sounds OK for them, but RCR usually live further inland. Anyway, a nice bird to have nearby.
