Unusual Sighting

Captured photos of this bird this week in our Sydney suburban garden.

I am assured that it is an Indian Ringneck (Juvenile) that probably has escaped from captivity.

yep, certainly not a native :)
Is he friendly?

Regretfully, he only stayed for 20 minutes trying to get a feed of Sunflower seed, but the Rainbow Lorikeets had other ideas.
Have not seen him since

Hi Lori, saw your beautiful visitor. It looks to me like it may be an African Ringneck. A friend of mine in NSW has one and although his male slightly darker in colour the other markings are remarkably similar. If it is I should add they are definitely NOT friendly. I'm told a nip from one of these can remove a fingertip.

Friends of mine on Mt Riverview kept having an Indian Ringneck visit them for some time last year and also another friend had a different colored version visiting his house in Bonnett Bay (Sutherland) as well. There were no records from either for a few months now.
