Not an easy shot, open salt flats and lots of pig churned mud (you should see my boots!!), no cover, this was the 5th approach, very slow, shooting every few meters, very lucky to get this result as the bird was facing me for most of the approach only turning to fly off, as I said lucky I was already shooting at 3fps.
Not a first for the common but a first for me.

I like the way all the branches and the Bird is in focus.
